FAQ
The TLS Protection Plan currently provides complete protection for The Watch, including coverage for accidental damage, theft, loss, hardware defects, and priority technical support. The Protection Plan will be available for more TLS products in the near future.
Yes. As long as your TLS Watch was originally enrolled within the required enrollment window outlined in the Terms & Conditions, you may renew your TLS Protection Plan at the end of each coverage term and maintain continuous coverage for as long as renewal is offered and your subscription remains active. Renewal is billed automatically on an annual basis unless canceled before the renewal date. If your Protection Plan expires, is canceled, or lapses due to non-payment, your device may become ineligible for future coverage or re-enrollment. The Light System reserves the right to modify pricing, benefits, or renewal terms upon notice prior to any renewal period.

No. Each TLS Protection Plan covers only one (1) eligible TLS Watch and is linked to a specific device. If you own multiple TLS Watches, a separate Protection Plan must be purchased and maintained for each watch you wish to protect. Coverage cannot be shared between devices, and a claim may only be submitted for the watch associated with the active Protection Plan. To verify coverage, The Light System may request the device serial number, proof of purchase, and confirmation of an active Protection Plan subscription. Watches without their own active Protection Plan are not eligible for coverage, repairs, replacements, or other Protection Plan benefits. If you purchase an additional TLS Watch in the future, you may enroll that device in its own Protection Plan, subject to the terms and eligibility requirements in effect at the time of enrollment. Any available promotions or discounts for multiple devices will be communicated separately and do not alter the requirement that each covered watch maintain its own Protection Plan.
You can purchase the TLS Protection Plan within 60 days of:
Your original device purchase date, or
The date your device was delivered

The TLS Protection Plan helps protect your device against accidental damage, covered mechanical and electrical failures, theft, and loss. Coverage is subject to the Plan's Terms and Conditions, and applicable deductibles may apply to approved claims.
The TLS Protection Plan includes up to two (2) approved accidental damage claims per 12-month coverage period. Each approved accidental damage replacement is subject to a $59 deductible. Shipping, tariffs, duties, taxes, and customs fees may apply.
Yes. Theft coverage is included with every plan with a limit per every plan term (12 months). For both theft and loss, there is a $99 deductible. A police report is required for all theft claims.

Your TLS Protection Plan includes up to one (1) combined Theft or Loss claim per 12-month coverage period. Approved Theft or Loss claims are subject to a $109 deductible. For theft claims, you must report the theft to law enforcement and provide a copy of the police report within thirty (30) days of the incident. For loss claims, you must submit your claim within thirty (30) days of the date the loss occurred. Failure to meet these reporting requirements may result in denial of coverage. All claims remain subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Plan.
The TLS Protection Plan has the following service fees for approved claims:
• Accidental Damage (ADH): $59 per approved claim
• Theft or Loss: $109 per approved claim
• Mechanical or Electrical Failure: $0 during the initial 12-month coverage term
• Battery Failure: $0 during the initial 12-month coverage term
Service fees are due before a replacement device is issued. Shipping, tariffs, duties, taxes, and customs fees may apply where applicable.
TLS may, at its sole discretion:
• Repair your device;
• Replace your device with a new or refurbished equivalent device; or
• Provide store credit equal to the greater of your original purchase price or the current retail value.
Applicable service fees (deductibles) may apply to approved claims based on the type of covered event, as outlined in the Terms and Conditions. Shipping, tariffs, duties, taxes, and customs fees may also apply where applicable.
Yes. Priority email and web-based technical support is included for as long as your plan remains active.
Standard exclusions include normal wear and tear (including normal patina on copper), cosmetic damage, intentional misuse, reckless conduct, unauthorized modifications, pre-existing conditions, and commercial use.
Yes. Depending on the claim, TLS may require:
Photos or videos of the damage
Device serial number verification (MAC number for The Watch)
A police report (for theft claims)

In some cases, yes. For certain claim types, TLS may require return of the device. In other cases, photo or video verification may allow for replacement without returning the device.
TLS covers outbound shipping for approved replacements or repairs. Customers are responsible for any required inbound shipping, taxes, duties, or tariffs.
Yes. The TLS Protection Plan requires a minimum 12-month commitment and is billed at $50 USD per year. Unless canceled in accordance with the Terms and Conditions, your Plan will automatically renew at the end of each coverage term using the payment method on file. Renewal rates and coverage terms in effect at the time of renewal will apply.
Coverage is non-transferable between devices and may not be reassigned from one device to another unless expressly authorized in writing by The Light System.
